This side dish can be whipped out in less than 20 minutes if you have all ingredients on hand.  I love it because it’s quick, easy, and tasty!!  Eat it as a snack or use it as a side dish to compliment any Asian inspired meal.

Makes 4-6 Servings

Elements:

One and a half pounds of fresh SUGAR SNAP PEAS (rinsed, drained, and patted dry)

OLIVE OIL

One-quarter cup SOY SAUCE or BRAGG’S LIQUID AMINOS

One tablespoon HONEY

One clove GARLIC, minced

One to two teaspoons ROASTED SESAME SEEDS

Good quality SESAME OIL

BLACK PEPPER

GROUND CAYENNE POWDER (optional)

Application:

Preheat oven 425F.

Place prepped peas on a large cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil – only enough to get each piece coated.  Toss well then bake in the oven for 13-15 minutes, just until tender crisp.

While peas are baking, get a large bowl and whisk together the remaining ingredients.

Remove baked peas from oven and throw into the sauce immediately. Toss well, then chow down.

TIPS:

This stores well in the fridge in an air-tight container.  The peas will remain tender crisp for a few days!
