Sweet and savory, juicy and tender, this simplified version of pulled pork can be served as is, on buns/rolls, or even tossed in a salad.  If you’re in the mood for BBQ just mix in a little bit of your favorite sauce after shredding.  The picture above shows it served as a sandwich topped with our Good Ol’ Apple Slaw.

Makes approx. 10-12 Servings

Elements:

Three or four pounds of BONELESS COUNTRY STYLE PORK RIBS  (You can use other cuts of pork as well….boneless pork loin, pork butt or shoulder w/ excess fat trimmed, etc.)

One ONION, chopped

Four cloves of GARLIC, sliced

One cup APPLE JUICE

Squirt of BRAGG’S LIQUID AMINOS  (or soy sauce)

Squirt of SRIRACHA SAUCE  (Just a little bit will add flavor without making it spicy.)

GROUND BLACK PEPPER

GARLIC POWDER

Application:

Place the pork, onions, and garlic in a slow cooker.  Mix up the liquids and pour it over the pork.  Sprinkle pepper and garlic powder as desired.  Cook on low for 8 hours.

Shred with two forks, remove any larger pieces of fat, and chow down!

Tips:

Try adding a diced apple to the crockpot!

My extended family prefers to eat this pork with rice….it’s the Asian way. 😉
