Halloween Cupcakes Galore

Here are some decoration ideas that’ll really make your treats look festive this Halloween season!

elements:

Make MINI CUPCAKES and/or STANDARD SIZE CUPCAKES.  I like to use RED VELVET CAKE because it feels more spo0oky.

Use DAIRY-FREE CHOCOLATE FROSTING.  This can be store bought (be sure to read labels) or homemade.

Variety of SPRINKLES  (Some brands of sprinkles are processed with nut/dairy products, so make sure you check the labels.)

Variety of CANDY for accessories  (Again, always double check all labels because ingredients and manufacturing processes affecting food allergens change frequently in the food industry!)

For Spiders…one type pictured above, another type pictured below…

CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES for the body/head texture.

MINI CHEWY SWEETARTS for the eyes.

TWIZZLER PULL AND PEEL for the legs and hourglass shape.

RED SPRINKLERS to fill in the hourglass shape.

For Creepy Eyes…one type pictured above, another type pictured below…

For the whites of the eyes, use MARSHMALLOWS cut into halves or use half an Oreo with the cream side up.

TWIZZLER PULL AND PEEL for eyebrows.

Use MINI CHEWY SWEETARTS or ENJOY LIFE CHOCOLATE CHIPS (pressed into the marshmallow or Oreo cream, pointy side down) for the pupil.

CHOCOLATE FROSTING to make eyelids if desired.

For Monsters (Dairy free, but NOT nut safe)…

For the whites of the eyes, use mini or reg size MARSHMALLOWS cut into halves or use mini or reg size OREOS halves, with the cream side up.

CANDY CORN for teeth/spikes.  (I have yet to find a brand of candy corn that is both dairy and nut safe.)

Use MINI CHEWY SWEETARTS or ENJOY LIFE CHOCOLATE CHIPS for the pupil (pressed into the marshmallow or Oreo cream, pointy side down, or secured with a small squeeze of colored frosting).

Witch Hats (NOT dairy/nut free, but a fun idea for other family members who are not allergic.  Notice I made ones with Halloween Oreos pressed in so we could all have a festive treat!)…

Use DARK CHOCOLATE FUDGE STRIPE COOKIES, or REGULAR FUDGE STRIPE COOKIES with the chocolate side up.

DARK or MILK CHOCOLATE HERSHEY KISSES, unwrapped

ORANGE FROSTING (Use to secure the hershey kiss onto the cookie and decorate.)
